Operation period is 25 June to 30 September due to the Mobula season. These are migratory animals that spend only the summer season in the mid Atlantic.

The day trip to Princess Alice depends on the weather conditions and we operate it only on the best days. That means this trip does not happen daily and we need a time window during your stay to plan this great experience with you.

Please keep in mind that all trips are excursions into nature. We want to give you the best experience and therefore we choose the best days during your stay. Keep also in mind that we work with wild animals and not in a Zoo / Aquarium. Therefore we can not guarantee that you see the animals but we operate on a 99,9% success rate. 

For the whale watching we use the traditional method to find the whales which is unique in the world. Land based spotters with special binoculars look for the animals. They can find animals 15km offshotaceare and identify the species by the blow. That system makes the whale watching so successful and unique in the Azores. On some days we spot more than 5 species of Cetacea.

Snorkeling with dolphins is a very special program to observe this sea creatures under water but also understand their behaviour when we work with them. We are not in an aquarium and we work with wild animals that are in their daily routine to find food. Our experienced skipper team “reads” the behaviour of the dolphins and we choose the right moment to allow to of you to enter the water at a time. This is the best way to get a short look into their underwater world. You will hear them and you will feel their clicks on your body. You might see them feeding and hunting or you might see them just passing below you watching you.

Sometimes we decide not to enter the water if we feel that we disturb the animals. If they have small babies and travel in so called “Kindergarten “ groups we will only join them by boat and after look for another group.
