In July the sea around Santa Maria is already 22 degrees warm. The water is clear because of that Gulf Stream has put a warm and clear layer of water over the cold and green water.
Mobulas have now arrived from the southern waters of the Central Atlantic. Whale sharks are now further south of the island and are looking at the water thermal line to Tuna to hunt with the pelagic hunters. Often, however, these are still so far in the open Ocean that we focus on diving in the dive weeks.
